Offline Classes
- Hatha Yoga - In Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Hatha Yoga is mentioned as “The Hatha Yoga is a sheltering monastery for those scorched by all the three types of pain (tapa). To those engaged in the practise of every kind of Yoga, Hatha Yoga is like tortoise that supports the world”.
Hatha in Sanskrit literally means ‘Discipline of Force’. So Hatha Yoga is a disciplined yoga practise, that focuses mastery of the body as a way of attaining a state of spiritual perfection without the interference of the five senses and the mind.
There are four limbs of Hatha Yoga namely Asana, Pranayama, Mudras and SamadhiNadanusandhana. - Ashtanga Yoga - In Sanskrit, ashtanga means eight-limbed (asta- eight, anga- limb). Ashtanga Yoga is an eight-limbed path towards achieving the state of Yoga, also known as Samadhi. The eight limbs of yoga are yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, and samadhi.
- Vinyasa Yoga - Vinyasa Yoga means a smooth transition between asanas linked with breath. While Hatha Yoga focuses on one asana at a time, Vinyasa is a sequence or flow of asanas performed together coordinated with breathing.
- Iyenger Yoga - Iyenger Yoga, named after B.K.S Iyenger , is derived from Hatha Yoga and is more focussed on the technical alignment of the poses. This form of yoga extensive use if yoga props.
